Rules, Terms and Conditions

No Smoking on any of our grounds, not the car park, nor the front of the building. This is Winners 2000, not Losers 2000.

If you are using the car park, please park only in the bays provided, do not park on areas marked with bollards or double yellow lines.

Drop off and collection of your children is your responsibility. To ensure your children are dropped off and collected safely, please be on time. We will not be allowing children to leave the session until 5 minutes before the scheduled end, but please ensure you are there ready to collect them.

Children must be told they are not to touch fire exit doors, the windows, or any equipment they have not been instructed on how to use safely. This will be made clear to them by instructors at each session, but as they are serious potential hazards, this needs to be understood by you and your child. If you do not think they are sensible enough to not open windows or doors or follow these basic safety guide lines please do not bring them to our sessions.

Children are not permitted to touch the music equipment at any time.

Children are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times. Children who cannot will be excluded and parents need to be available to collect children at all times. We fully understand and accept our part in developing children’s conduct but safety of the group will always be our number one priority and any behavior that jeopardizes that will lead to children being removed permanently from the project. For the benefit of all students we operate a zero tolerance approach to behaviour.

Children must be able to toilet themselves to take part in this program, and we request you ensure they go before the come to each session. Regardless of circumstance, for Child Protection reasons, children will not be assisted with toileting in any way.

No mobile phones are permitted during the classes.

All drinks must be in a safe plastic bottle, no glass or cans.

Comfortable training clothing to be worn, no jeans or boots. We will not be held responsible for any loss of clothing or equipment, that is the children’s responsibility.

The nature of exercise instruction makes is essential for us to touch your children. We will be placing our hands on there bodies to demonstrate good techniques and the areas movements are designed to work. Do not bring your child to our sessions if you are not happy with this.

The instructors in charge of the program have been police checked, but we may from time to time, enlist the support of other instructors/volunteers who may have not been police checked. If you do not want your children to attend our program on this basis, please do not bring them.

Children are not permitted to shower or change at the club, they must come changed to workout.

In allowing your child to work out with us, you are confirming they are fit and safe to undertake exercise of this nature. We cannot be liable for any injury, illness or accident your child may have whilst exercising. If you do not think they can workout safely, do not bring them to our sessions.

Each child must have an informed consent completed by a parent/guardian prior to them undertaking any exercise with us, and it the parents/guardians responsibility to ensure this is done. All children wishing to exercise in the gym must first have a private induction with an instructor, or they cannot use the gym facilities.

In bringing your child to this program, you agree to abide by all our terms and conditions.

Private Coaching and tuition

Personal Tuition for Your Children

If your child demonstrates extra special talents in a particular field, or if they have weight, health of confidence issues, or perhaps just to be around positive role models, then set up some personal training with a coach from our club.

We have had great results with this service, both with children that were showing behavioural problems, and with those who had health problems, in particular those that are adding too much weight. The modern western diet, based on grains and sugars, is largely responsible for the problems young people face today. And with this generation predicted to die before their parents, there is a real need to ensure your child is eating as they need to be, and exercising sufficiently to keep them healthy at the very least.

Sessions cost around £20, for more information speak to Helen Collins.

Grading

Throughout our program, we will be issuing certificates of achievement to students who achieve the personal targets we have agreed with them. This maybe success in terms of conduct, contribution, physical or mental development.

As our project is registered with ASDAN, these awards maybe used as part of their personal portfolio alongside their school exam results and other sporting achievements. ASDAN

Our project is registered at Level 1 with ASDAN, meaning the work the students carry out is marked and points are awarded towards a GCSE qualification.

As the students progress, we will be moving from up through the levels, with the goal of ultimately being able to award a GCSE soely through this project.

We believe that in addition to the practical exercise, nutrition and first aid skills wea re teaching, we are also helping to develop the “whole” person through the conduct and respect elements of what we do.
